Power Flushing

Overtime heating systems corrode and form a compound known as iron oxide (sludge) within the system. This sludge can cause a variety of problems for your system which can be costly to repair. If your experiencing any of the following symptoms a powerflush is advisable.

    Symptoms
    • Cold spots on radiators
    • Pump failure
    • Blockages in pipework
    • Abnormal noises from the boiler
    • Circulation problems
    • Discoloured water
    • Components with the heating system fail

Reason to Power Flush your system

    • Restore heating system efficiency saving you money
    • Prevents corrosion build up in pipework and radiators
    • Cures flow and circulation problems
    • Reduces pump failures
    • Restores heat output to radiators
    • Helps maintain healthy heating components and give them a longer lifespan saving money
    • Minimises risks of holes in radiators forming
    • Cures or prevents boiler noise
    • Chemically treated to help prevent further corrosion
    • More effective than traditional flushing methods
    • Process Completed in 1 day

What happened during a clear flow Power Flush?

A power flushing pump is simply connected to the heating system usually via the central heating pump. It works by pumping water through the heating system at a much higher velocity than your central heating pump. Cleansing chemicals are added which helps to loosen and immobilise harmful corrosive deposits which have built up over time in your system.

There is a flow reversal device which creates turbulence within the radiators and heating pipework forcing the debris out along with the help of a magnetic filter which starts to collect the debris and cleans the system water during the power flush. Each and every radiator is cleaned individually without having to remove or disconnect with minimal disruption to your household. A neutralising agent is added to balance the heating system back to a neutral PH level.

The system is then drained down and filled back up with fresh water, free from debris and an inhibitor introduced for long lasting protection, restoring high levels of efficiency throughout the heating system.
